Communication Officer Internship

IOJI is currently looking for a communications person to support the outreach of its programs. In attaining such objectives, IOJI is seeking for qualified candidates for the following position:

Title : Communications Officer Internship
Employment : Contract-based 
Duration : 6 (six) months 
Benefit Transport and meals allowance
Duty Station : Jakarta, Work from Office (WFO) from Monday-Friday

 

Job Responsibilities

Communications Internship will be working closely with the Public Relations & Media Manager, and will be responsible in providing communication support to all IOJI’s workstreams. The responsibilities for this position are as the following:

Project documentation

  • Place articles on IOJI’s web, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Maintain relations with media persons/journalists.
  • Organize, operate, and monitor activities on all IOJI’s social media.
  • Create social media content, caption, story, and streaming/live in social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, Linkedin, and Facebook.
  • Publish content on a schedule and stay up to date with the latest trends across all social media networks.
  • Participating in the entire content creation process, willing to be a live streamer if needed

  1. Public Relations and Media Manager: direct supervisor, teamwork
  2. Graphics Designer & Multimedia Officer: teamwork
  3. Program Officer, Program Managers and Senior Advisors: preparation on social media content and articles
  4. Board of Directors: social media content and articles’ signoff
  5. Human Resources & General Affairs: meeting, event, and travel preparation;
  6. Finance officer: project budgeting; meeting, event, and travel preparation

Knowledges, Experiences, and Competencies

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in any subject from a reputable university, but we’d especially like to hear fresh thinking and dynamic ideas on communication products.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years hands on experience working as communications officer in the NGO sector.
  • Efficient, competent and possess integrity.
  • Good interpersonal skills, teamwork-oriented, proven record in working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organisational goals and ensure timely delivery results.
  • Have an active social media account and able to develop interesting social media content, caption, story, and streaming/live in social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok, Linkedin, and Facebook.
  • Have an ability in using canva, capcut or other picture of video editing applications would be a plus.
