Indonesia Ocean Justice Initiative (IOJI) is an independent think tank in Indonesia, which is established to:
- Conduct policy advocacy at national, regional, and international levels to support marine governance and good and sustainable ocean governance by evidence-based
- Strengthening cooperation networks of government and civil society at the national, regional, and international levels to support a coalition of actions to develop sustainable marine life practices, including the achievement of the goals in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Encourage and cooperate with law enforcement agencies at the national, regional, and global levels related to maritime crimes and transnational organized crime, including criminal practices fishing, human trafficking, slavery, and others.
IOJI was founded on 24 January 2020 in the form of an association and obtained legal entity status from the Indonesia Ministry of Law and Human Rights based on decree No. AHU0001022.AH.01.07 dated February 4, 2020.
